MoonCold App Privacy Policy

Wallet architecture

MoonCold is designed as a non-custodial hardware-wallet system. The app provides the user interface and communicates with a MoonCold card through NFC. The MoonCold app is not designed to receive or store a card’s private key. The MoonCold card is used for the cryptographic signing step.

Information processed on the device

The app may process public wallet addresses, public keys, asset selections, balances, transaction history, unsigned transaction details, app preferences, card identifiers needed for card management, and locally generated diagnostic status. These items may remain on the user’s device unless network access or support is requested.

NFC and biometrics

NFC is used to communicate with a MoonCold card when the user initiates setup, card management, or transaction confirmation. Android biometric authentication, when enabled, is handled through the operating system; MoonCold does not receive the user’s fingerprint or face template.

Blockchain and service providers

To display balances, transaction history, network fees, and broadcast signed transactions, the app may send public blockchain addresses, transaction identifiers, network requests, IP address, and signed transaction data to blockchain nodes, RPC providers, indexers, price-data providers, or related infrastructure. These providers may process technical logs under their own privacy terms. The final provider list will be published before release.

Support communications

If a user contacts support, The Moon, LLC may receive the email address, message, order or device information the user chooses to provide, and diagnostic details the user deliberately attaches. Users must never send a private key, recovery phrase, PIN, access code, or other secret authentication material.

Analytics, advertising, and sale of data

The planned first release contains no advertising SDK and does not sell personal data. Any analytics, crash-reporting, attribution, or additional third-party SDK introduced before release must be disclosed here and in Google Play Data safety before distribution.

Retention and deletion

Local app data can be removed by clearing app storage or uninstalling the app; doing so does not erase blockchain records. Support correspondence and related records are retained only as reasonably required to respond, prevent abuse, meet legal obligations, and maintain business records. A user may request deletion of eligible support data by emailing support@mooncoldwallet.com. Data that must be retained by law or that exists permanently on a public blockchain cannot be deleted by MoonCold.

Security

MoonCold uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information processed. No system can guarantee complete security. Users are responsible for protecting their cards, access codes, recovery information, devices, and transaction details.

Children

The app is not directed to children. The final age eligibility will follow the applicable store listing, product terms, and local law.

Changes

This policy may be updated when the app, providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date will be updated and material changes will be communicated as required.
